KeyCrane's tests run entirely in your browser. Key presses, clicks, microphone audio and webcam video are handled on your own device and are never sent to a server, never recorded and never stored.

The microphone and camera tests ask your browser for permission because there is no other way to show you whether the device works. The stream is used to draw a level meter or a preview and is dropped the moment you leave the page. You can revoke the permission at any time in your browser settings.

This site uses Google Analytics to understand which tests are used and how often. In the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland no analytics cookies are set without consent (Google Consent Mode); elsewhere standard analytics cookies apply. We only see aggregated usage such as test, language and duration; never what you typed, said or filmed.

This site currently shows no advertising. Before ads go live, this page will be extended with the full advertising and cookie policy, and visitors in regions that require it will see a consent banner.
