- What is a good clicks per second score?
- Ordinary clicking sits around 4 to 6 per second. Six to nine is fast and takes practice, and anything much above ten usually involves a technique like jitter or butterfly clicking rather than plain pressing.
- Does clicking this fast damage the mouse?
- Switches are rated in millions of clicks, so a test does no harm. Sustained jitter clicking is harder on your forearm than on the hardware, which is a better reason to stop than the mouse is.
- Why is my score lower on a laptop trackpad?
- A trackpad button has a longer travel and a slower reset than a mouse switch, and many trackpads deliberately ignore presses that arrive too close together. Comparisons only make sense between similar devices.
- Is my score stored?
- Only for as long as the page is open. The best score is kept in memory to compare runs and disappears when you leave; nothing is sent anywhere.
